PACMLS is essentially a conduit, which is:

• Not for profit
• Services at the lowest possible
  wholesale cost to members
• Allows shareholders to control their
  MLS fees.

This allows for retention by shareholder associations of MLS revenue that would otherwise be lost if supplied by a retail operation.
